will the wii active help me?

so my mother bought it and of course she never even opened the box!! but i am an equestrian and frankly i need to get back into my top psychical shape again so i can event. I’ve done it once and all i really worked was my legs and arms i need to work my core not my upper and lower I get enough of that at work.. will the wii active eventually help me work my core instead of just my upper and lower body?
between both my jobs school and horses i dont have alot of spare time so getting to the gym is tough

If you use it more then once and you use it one a regular bases then it should help you.
