The Welsh Cob Section D was originally the horses used to carry knights into battle. They are sturdy, level-headed, have a good forward gait (they can cover ground quickly) and usually are very gentle. Like most cobs, they can carry more weight than you’d expect for a horse of their size. I think a Welsh Cob Section D would make a great trail horse. Good luck.
