virginia equestrian center

virginia equestrian center
russell equestrian center?

i know i asked the same question before but i wanted to get more opinions considering i only got 2 answers.. iwas wondering if anybody would recomend them, i am moving to texas from virginia so i would have no idea.. i dont knowif you need to know but just incase, im an intermediate hunter/jumper…

I knew a few people who rode there. It’s a nice facility and the trainer used to show grand prix. All the people who I knew that rode there just did jumpers.

Some things I don’t like about the place-

-Sure, the riders there jump high, but some of them are horrible! They have several 14 year olds jumping 4’9″. They don’t know releases very well, they just shove their arms as far up the horse’s neck as they can. None of the rider’s I’ve seen have ever even used an automatic release and they’re jumping 4’9″! Your supposed to begin automatic releases as soon as you do no need the horse’s neck for support. o.0 “Quality, not quantity.”

-The jumps in their jumping ring, are ALWAYS in the same place; they never move them!

From what I’ve heard from people, it’s veryy expensive, but if money isn’t an issue at all, I guess that wouldn’t matter.

Hope this helps, and I hope you find a good barn to ride at :)
