Prices of vendors at big horse shows?

At huge horse shows (such as QH Congress, Rolex, World Equestrian Games…) do you feel that the vendor prices are overpriced, fairly priced, or good deals? I’m talking in general, I understand that different shops will vary.

Wondering if I should buy some stuff there or just order online. I need new paddock boots, half chaps, gloves, helmet cover, and saddle cover. But, I’ve never done much shopping when I’ve been at these shows in the past, so I never paid attention to their pricing.

They do have an additional cost of packing up and renting the booths so you don’t usually find big discounts. What you will find is size and colors and style numbers you can copy down and then order on line if it’s cheaper. But then you pay shipping. Check your prices on line first and if it’s comparable at the show, grab ‘em if they fit. Some vendors are willing to deal the last day so they don’t have to pack up again. It never hurts to ask!
