Buying on ebay….from USA to Canada… extra charges?
I live in Canada and when I shop for items on ebay I only consider items IN Canada because I am afraid that customs will tack on other charges or taxes…. (once a friend sent some some gifts from the USA and we had to pay over $100 to pick up the package from the post office)….has anyone had any good or bad experiences with shipping ebay items from the USA….what might I expect?……………………because there surely is much more selection of items if I include US listings in my Ebay searches!!!
I have purchased many items from outside Canada on Ebay, including the USA and have never had to pay any extra fees. I just go to the post office and pick up the package. I would think that the extra fees would be if the packager did not include all of the necessary fees when mailing. Then, the recipient would have to pay for those fees when collecting the package. Go ahead and order. It is safe and not expensive at all.
