Trot in a dressage test ?
Hey
The horse I ride has a really long smooth trot
Which is quite hard to post too but amazingly easy
To sit to without bouncing.
I was wondering when I eneter him in dressage
Tests if when they say ‘working trot’ I have
To post or can I sit ?
Also will they mark me down if I post on the wrong
Diagonal ?

In training level, (at least the way I’ve been taught)
all “working trot” is posting.
In training level four, you’re asked to sit the trot for the majority of the time, but when it asks for a working trot across the diagonals, you would post the trot.
Here’s just a random video of someone riding Training Level 1, you can hear that as the person is calling out “working trot”, the rider is posting.
