I need help measuring my horse for a saddle?
Hey, I have a western-trained, 9 year old Tennessee Walking Horse named Smokey. I am looking into purchasing an English saddle. I know the model I want, and all there’s left to do is measure him. I’m not sure how measuring for an english saddle goes. Do i measure his girth and back, or what. Im dumbfouded at this point. I’m ordering it online so I can’t bring his western saddle in for conversions (and our local tack shop has horrible prices, and I am on a budget!)

Call the place who sells them and ask them where to measure. then get measuring tape and measure away.
