Bookcase I just painted using semi-gloss is still somewhat sticky to the touch. Help!?
The bookcase I painted using semi-gloss paint. One week later, the paint still has some slight “tack” – the paint is dry, but if I press my hand down on it and leave it there, it feels somewhat tacky. I can also press my fingernail into it and scrape it. To prepare it for the paint, I stripped and sanded the piece, then wiped down with mineral spirits and a tack cloth to prep prior to painting. Is there anything I can do to help it try or do I need to restrip and start all over?
cheep paint. my sister did that to the kitchen table and chairs. it turned out terrible, she jest tossed it out after that. when your buying the paint jest ask the guy to recomend a brand of paint for you. did you use primer?
