Free tack box blueprints?
Does anyone know where i can find free tack blueprints. I would prefere it standing up like a refridgerator, with a saddle rack in it and a bridle hook on the door.
I drew my ideas for my tack trunks on paper and discussed what I wanted with the man building them. I never used blueprints. I designed ones similar to yours. I made locker type cabinets with two folding saddle racks in each of them. Shelves on the top and several bridle hooks on both sides and on the door. Make sure your door is heavy enough to withstand heavy stuff hanging on the inside hooks. Leave the door vented to eliminate mold. Don’t foget the area for your padlock too! I like two saddle racks because I have an english and a western saddle. I could even store both saddles on top of each other and use the other rack for blankets etc. I left the bottom open for baskets and storage containers to sit. I think my cabinets are 36″ wide and 6′ tall. I know I made them big enough for a big bulky western saddle because some of my clients showed Western Pleasure. They worked great, I loved that they kept eveything so neat and out of way of any dust and the cabinets prevented the saddles from being knocked over and puked on by cats. Speaking of cats, my clients were forever locking cats up in the cabinets by accident. I recommended that everybody have a combination lock so that I could get the cats out if needed..
