What about Iowa State?
I’m looking into colleges and I am wondering about Iowa State. I have looked at the website but it is difficult to search.
Does Iowa State have an equestrian center?
Does Iowa State have a pool? with Diving boards?
Does Iowa State have a veterinary school?
Any other cool things about Iowa State will be appreciated!
I have two friends who worked on their Masters degrees at Iowa State, and I know several who went there for their undergrad.
It is a large campus in a town that is essentially built around the college. There is a nice river that runs through the town, and it’s in a reasonably well-populated area of Iowa. There is plenty of shopping (mostly chains), and coffee shops and diners abound – typical of a college town. I’ve been to a couple of bars when visiting friends, which were nice. They are mainly known for their engineering school and their agricultural schools, but like any major state university, have very good programs across the board. If you enroll in an Art History class, you may have one of my friends as a teacher! Also, my other friend did his masters in Theater.. and raved about the program.
They do have a veterinary school. It’s a large campus, so I’m sure they have a pool with diving boards. They have a diving team, after all. I know they have a large agricultural school, but I’m not sure about the equestrian center. They do have an equestrian team.. so they might.
If you’re not from Iowa, the people are really great. Nice. Courteous. Well-meaning.
