Can anyone tell me about the importance of horses in the Spanish culture?
I have to make a painting focusing on the Spanish culture (it’s for a festival) and the theme of the festival is the equestrian games. My teacher wants me to incorporate horses into the painting, but I don’t know much about Spain, and I really have no idea what I could possibly paint.
If anyone can tell me about Spanish traditions, hobbies, sports, stories or historical events that deal with horses, that would be great. I’ve been researching the topic and I’m not finding much.
My first thought when I was asked to do this was the introduction of horses to the Americas by the Spanish conquistadors. I don’t really like that idea very much, but so far it is all I have. If anyone could help me come up with a better idea, I would really appreciate it.
What could be more Spanish than the use of horses in bullfighting?
