Would this little guy make a good show pony?
I am looking at buying a mini, because I need a paddock mate for Leo, and I want to show a mini. So I was thinking about this litttle guy. A bit of training will be required, and I wouldn’t show him untill he is older, but he is still a lovely boy.

That’s the little guy I am looking at buying, so what do you think?
I know fromt the pictures it will be hard to tell. But he looks fine, I am going to see him tomorrow or on the weekend.

We have a 8.2hh Shetland pony, we got her as a 2yo supposedly broken in. But it is hard to break in these little critters without a little person, so the job was not done very well. She even reared up on the lead and hit my girl in the face giving her a blood nose. It took ages to get my daughters confidence back up.
The pony is 5yo now and my girls are riding her independently after I re-mouthed her etc etc. We have put heaps of time in on her and the kids can now drag her around everywhere. She would be worth a mint now, but we will never sell her. LOL
Anyway, he has nice markings and the photo of him pigrooting is funny – shows personality!! The other photo is ordinary, people always put the worst photos in sale ads?? 
Obviously these are not conformation shots, so if your keen about winning you will need to get some. If on the other hand you just want to have some fun, it won’t really matter that much. I can’t see any glaring issues, from what you have shown.
My girls are going to take ours to a few small ag shows just to have some fun this year.
Keep in mind that you will have a massive height difference. I’ve had to modify fencing to accommodate my bigger horses and the pony. The Shetty will just walk underneath the fences like they are not there. LOL So I have had to put another hot tape down lower to make sure she stays in and does not get on the road.
Also pay great attention to see if he bites. It can be an awful trait in them. I had a 10hh pony and he would just eat anything that stood still long enough. And he taught another horse to do it as well and ruined the fence.
