Texas Equine Colleges/Meredith Manor?
It seems horses have taken over my life. I now need to choose an educational direction that will include a DEGREE in equine business management, but it seems that there are a stunning few in Texas. Tiffin University and Johnson and Wales University are examples of such programs, but are located in Ohio and Rhode Island, and, being Texas born and raised, I just can’t take those Northern winters. My plan is to stay four years in a Texas college with said degree, then travel to West Virginia (braving the winter for the etablishment) to attend Meredith Manor University, an equestrian trade school. I’d like to know
A) Whether there is such a degree in a Texas college and
B) Whether Meredith Manor would be a worthwhile decision for me.

Cal State Fresno (Equine Science option for BS in Animal Science)
North Central Texas College (one year program in breeding farm management–probably not what you’d want to do though)
St. Andrews Presbyterian College (NC) (Therapeutic Riding and Equine Business Management majors)
Virginia Intermont College (BS in Equine Studies)
