^^^ Haha. If they are such a dream of yours, you would realize that a “stallion” is nothing more than a horse of ANY BREED OR COLOR that is an uncut male. The ugliest horse in the world can be a stallion. And they don’t cost millions unless they have VERY VERY high quality bloodlines for racing or another sport.
To answer your question, horses are typically an expensive animal and you are going to be looking at a couple grand for the horse and another couple grand for upkeep, including feed, hay, grain, medical needs, and other needs. As far as tack goes you can pick up a trail saddle set for a couple hundred. Goats are also good companions for horses and are cheaper than them. A lot of donkeys and horses don’t get a long at all–ours don’t. During the winter your hay and grain bill will increase because there isn’t as much grass for him to eat. You always want to have lots of hay stored for winter. As far as shoes go, it depends on the horse. Some don’t need any. Some need only their fronts. If you are going to be going on very hard terrain, shoes wouldn’t hurt. They need to be reshod every 4-7 weeks, depending on the horse. This is usually around 35 dollars for an unshod horse and increases per amount of shoes on the horse to about 65-80 dollars per shoeing on a horse with all hooves shod.
