He’s very cute, but its impossible to estimate what he’s going to cost you. First, be sure when you go into a half ownership situation. You better be sure its with the right person and you will be able to work out all the details. I would have something very specific in writing, even if its your best friend. Next, have him vetted before you buy him! Anyone reputable will not have a problem with this, does he do English? There are many things to consider, his farrier cost, yearly shots and every other month deworming (the least of your expenses) sharing tack with someone, unforseen illness or injury… I think having a horse is great, just make sure you think about all these things before you buy.
