horse riding safety vest

horse riding safety vest
Will a dirtbike safety vest work the same as a horseback riding vest?

I recently fell off my horse and landed on my shoulder which broke my collarbone. My dad is pretty nervous now and wants me to get a protective vest for riding. He thinks a dirtbike/snowmobile vest will be more supportive for my shoulder and will absorb more shock. I think am worried that it will restrict my movement on my horse and be more dangerous than anything. Any opinions on which type of vest I should get and the specific brand would be very appreciated.
The vests I have looked into for both horseback riding and motorcross or snowmobiling are all very similar material and design. The only difference that i have seen is that the motorcross vest have more support directly on the shoulder to support my arms outward. This is the first time i have fallen off and broke anything. I generally land on my tail bone and go off the front instead of the side. I barrel race and ride 15 hand arabians

Just don’t fall next time silly. :P Just kidding of course.

I love you. :)
