findlay equestrian program

Which equestrian college would u pick?

What do you guys think of William Woods University’s Equestrian Program? University of Findlay’s Equestrian Program? Midway College’s Equestrian Program? you don’t have to comment on all just the ones u know. my 1st choice so far is William Woods. i want lotsa riding, showing, and have fun of course. thanks!

The trainer my sister works with graduated from Univ. of Findlay. I also know another guy who used to show down here and he is up there now. I’ve heard great things about it.

I actually looked pretty seriously at Midway (I thought about going into the equine therapy/rehab) but decided not to go because it was so far from where I live. I visited it, though, and liked it. However, I know one person who went there and absolutely hated it–but knowing this person, I’m not surprised it wasn’t a good fit (fairly small, all-women’s Christian school with probably a lot of rules that she didn’t agree with).

Any kind of college can be like that–they are all so different. It’s much more independent than high school, so you’re more likely to either love it or hate it (rather than just tolerate it like you have to do for high school). Go visit them, sit in on a class (academic and riding), talk to the instructors and professors, see what they offer, pick the one that just feels right to you.
