If I give my horse a full body clip, what kind of blanket should i use?
My mare grows a very long and think winter coat, and when i ride her she gets sweaty very easily. This year I am joining 4-H and the high school equestrian team and I have been thinking about clipping my horse. I have a nice big winter blanket but would I need a neck piece to go along with it? and after i clip her will the hair continue to grow?
She will be outside, not in a stall.
also i have clipped her before but that was in June because she was shedding too slowly…
If you’re doing a full body clip get a heavy rug with a neck rug or a combo to make sure she’s kept warm in winter or she could get sick.
