What Do You Think of the Mule Ride Accident at the San Diego Wild Animal Park?

A couple of days ago an 89 yr old man fell off the mule before the ride even got going – it was to be a trail ride through some of the rarest habitat in CA. He died a couple of days later from that and from prexisting medical problems. He signed a waiver before getting on. My own opinion is that all equestrian activities are inherently risky and he chose to take the risk. I hope the WAP is not sued or harmed in any way. If you remove all risk from life there is no life left.

I think oops! People die every day, don’t they? Anyway, I would rather go out that way on an excursion when I am 89 than I would in a hospital, hooked up to machines and cathetered to within an inch of my life. My particulars mean nothing to the WAP’s insurance company, however.
