I want to go to the Equestrian Olympics……..?
Hi, I am 13 years old and have loved horses my whole life. I guess there isn’t a specific date when I started riding. But, If I had to say probley when I was 9 years old. It is my dream to go to the Equestrian Olympics and start a career as a professional show jumper. (Or maybe an eventer, but unlikely)
Can anyone give me some advise? Like, where are some good horse camps that offer financial aid? Also what are show jumping regulations? (For example can I use a Synthetic tack and Happy mouth bits?) Any other tips, thank you so much!
I’m glad that you started to ride and love horses in such an early age. The only advise I could give you is to find a nearest equestrian club in your place or call your country’s equestrian federation so that you can ask the requirements on how to seek financial aid from them. Oh by the way, try finding a coach that can teach you to improve your skills in equestrian.
You still have a year to train because the next Equestrian Olympics is going to be held in Lexington, Kentucky in 2010. And also, this event will also serve as an Olympic qualifier for 2012 Olympics.
