English equestrian wear – can men wear those tight pants?
I’m working on writing a story, and I need some info about equestrian wear – I don’t know much about it.
1) Those really tight pants the women wear – are some of the pants the men wear like that, or are they all those ones that are baggy above the knee?
2) Is “jodhpurs” the right name for these, even if they are not baggy above the knee?
3) For riding styles, is “English” the same as “Dressage”, or is the latter a subset of the former?
4) What kind of shirt does a man wear with these pants, under that formal jacket?
Regarding the button-down shirt–Do you mean a regular shirt, like one would wear to an office? Does it tuck into the breeches like regular pants? Do the breeches have a belt?

Real men wear denim. I’m a cowboy, sorry, but a man wearing those tight pants in my area probably would not be around long. But it is to each his own, they probably wouldn’t care for my jeans and denim shirts either.
