Who created the Equestrian Statue of Marcus Aurelius?

The bronze statue was created sometime between 161-180 CE by unknown sculptor/s. It may be that the horse and the human figure (which are disproportionate) were created by different artists. It was intended as an imperial portrait.

The sculpture was used by Michelangelo in 1537 in his design for Capitoline Hill. It also influenced Donatello and Verrocchio.
