Careers advice in Environment and Conservation?
Hi i’m a 22 year old female. I’ve recently ended my career in the Equestrian Industry as I didn’t feel it was right for me. Living in Dartmoor National Park I have a great passion for the environment and conservation, I find myself searching the internet for opportunities in work experience and relevant courses, but with so many different options I find it hard to make a decision on what would be best for me. After leaving School at 16 I went straight in to the equestrian industry and so only have equine and GCSE qualifications. Any advice would be extremely helpful Thank you
You can always find internships opportunities abroad, build up your experience and then try looking for something here. We live in such a small country the competition for those jobs is going to be high – you really need a degree in environmental biology/ecology.
Or you could always just try volunteering in a national park here to get a foot in the door and a better perspective of what jobs are available.
