girls equestrian camps in california (sleepaway)?
im looking for an english overnight riding camp in california (or anywhere close!!). i can’t seem to find one!!!! please… no western camps, day camps, or those well-rounded sleepaway camps where u do everything (watersports, crafts, rope courses, etc.) that also have a small equestrian program!! I mean, full-on, english riding camps!!
Foxfield, in Westlake Village, CA (Ventura County, but just over the L.A. line). It’s a world class equestrian center, and they do Pony Club in summer. The drill team did daily exhibitions during the 1984 Olympics, at Santa Anita. They have graduates who have ridden on Olympic teams, and one of their former students, Hilda Gurney, won a Bronze in Dressage in Montreal, 1976. They have a great website, so go check it out, but you have to sign up fairly early in order to get a spot.
