what does this mean about saddle?
ive just bought a new saddle (well had it fitted) for my horse
i want to keep it in good condition so i got some wipes for keeping it clean but i was thinking of getting some belvoir tack conditioning soap, but i read the back of it and it said not to be used on certain things:
1)aniline leather
2)untreated leather
3)suede
4)nubuck
can you please help me by answering what each of these mean??
right really what i wanted to know from this was would the saddle soap be ok to use on my new saddle, its a leather kensington event saddle
i have the tack saddle wipes for cleaning it but i wondered about getting belvoir saddle soap for the conditioning
Aniline – dye base of coal oil derivation
Untreated leather speaks for itself – unsealed
Suede – hello, split leather with nappy surface – not smooth and shiny
nubuck – fine nappy surface on leather produced by brushing – similar to suede.
