Yikes help this may be scarry!!!?
i just bought the new Pessoa, Legacy XP3 Saddle, and i checked really fast and bought it(my old saddle busted and theres compettition in a week so i was in a hurry) it cost $2,100 (with free bridle) i have all OAKBARK gear so i was looking for a oakbark saddle……….after buying the XP3 i went back to review it says ANTIQUE GRAINED OAKBARK omg omg the saddle still hasent gotten here WILL it match my other OAKBARK stuff plzplz i havent time to dilly dally with tack!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’ve been trying to match up/find a girth for an HDR saddle in oakbark, so I feel your pain.
Oakbark is oakbark(red/brown), true enough. Don’t worry, your color match should be good. What brand is your other oakbark stuff?
I think the difference is that with grained leather the finished color in the pores of the leather are somewhat blackened – thus “antiqued”. If your other gear has any color variation from wear(baked in dirt,oil, etc.) the grained leather should be an even better match than the smooth.
I’m betting it’ll be all right.
